This weekend has been a VERY VERY busy one for me. I uploaded over 2400 images in FOUR days!

     Football in Mayes County kicked off Thursday evening. I was excited to be on the sidelines of the Battle of 82.

    The Mayes County Fair was also in full swing this weekend. Friday morning I judged the local amateur photography classes and photographed lambs, dairy and goats! The horse exhibitors competed the weekend before.

    I stayed as long as I could and still make it to kickoff for the Pryor Tigers' football game in Catoosa!

    Saturday morning, bright and early, I photographed the DAM JAM starting line and take off. Then headed back to the fairgrounds for the pig show.

   Saturday evening was the beef cattle show at the fairgrounds.

   Sunday, one of my favorite events, was the peewee showmanship for beef cattle, goats and lambs.

    Tonight, local exhibitors will be rewarded for all their hard work at the premium auction, closing out another year of the Mayes County Fair.

   I learned something this weekend, in three more years the Mayes County Fair will be 100 years old! They are using the next three years to plan a huge celebration. Mayes County Fairboard members are asking for photos and any history memorabilia to help document and celebrate. If you have any you'd like to share, you're asked to bring it to the Extension Office.
