Five of Mayes County teams are still in the hunt for the State Championship Gold Ball. Only one remains in the winners bracket, four are win or out situations.

Adair girls are the only team still in a winners bracket. They are schedule to play Spiro at 6:30 Friday in Skiatook. Winner of that game advances to the State playoff bracket. Loser of that game plays Saturday at 6:30 in Skiatook, where only the winner advances to the State playoff bracket.

Adair boys fell into a consolation bracket this past weekend, forcing them into winning three in a row this weekend to make it to State. They are scheduled to face Henryetta at 3 p.m. on Thursday in Skiatook. Winner plays the winner of Sperry/Lincoln Christian on Friday at 3 in Skiatook. Winner of that game plays the loser of Nowata/Spiro at 8 on Saturday in Skiatook.

Locust Grove girls also fell into a consolation bracket and must win three in a row to make State. First up they face Newcastle in Claremore at 6:30 Thursday. Winner place the winner of Inola/Stilwell at 1:30 Friday in Claremore. Winner of the second game will play the loser of the Vinita/Harrah game on Saturday at 6:30 in Claremore.

Locust Grove boys also must win three in a row or end their season. Their first challenge comes at 3 p.m. Thursday against Inola in Claremore. Winner of that game plays the winner of Cascia Hall/Stilwell on Friday at 3 in Claremore. Winner of the second game plays the loser of the Harrah/Douglass game on Saturday at 8.

Chouteau boys will face Dale first at 8 p.m. Thursday at Muskogee Civic Center. Winner plays the winner of the Pocola/Talihina game at 3 on Friday at Muskogee Civic Center. Winner of the second game will face the loser of Howe/Preston at 8 Saturday in Muskogee.
