Mayes County Fair 2014 - The Details!

August 28, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I don’t know who’s more excited about the Mayes County Fair, me, exhibitors or parents.

I know first-hand how much work and dedication is involved in preparing for the fair. I spent eight straight years walking, feeding and working with my calves, the work culminating to see the results of that hard work each year at the fair.

This year I get to be the official photographer, even better. I’ve worked out details and hope to be as organized as possible during the fair. I want to help parents and exhibitors capture those memories. Hopefully these details will help out.

I will be there each day during the fair, starting with the timed events for horses and mules on Friday, August 29th and for the halter show on Saturday, August 30th. I’ll also be out at the fairgrounds Thursday afternoon, all day Friday through Sunday and much of the day Monday for the events.

I’ll be taking photos of the action in the show ring along with all photos of premium sale qualifiers after each class/species on the backdrop set up. You’ll see me running back and forth a lot. I’ll be uploading each show as quickly as possible online, hopefully avoiding any issues the same evening of the events.

As premium sale qualifiers are chosen, I will take those photos on the backdrop.  It is important that if you qualify, please head as quickly and efficiently as possible to the area set up with the backdrop to get your photos taken.

Many exhibitors will qualify for more than one animal, but can only sell one in the premium sale. On Sunday as the meeting to select premium sale order etc with the agriculture instructors and 4-H leaders, I will be having those instructors/leaders make sure the correct premium sale photos are selected for immediate ordering.

Parents can purchase as many images of their exhibitors as they want.

I’ve organized the folders online to make it as easy as possible to find your exhibitors. If you’ll visit http://www.kristytroyerphotography.com/2014mayescountyfair you’ll see folders for each species and I’ve broken down each species and much as possible. Again, I’ll be getting those images uploaded and online as quickly as possible. Here’s a step by step blog on how to purchase those images online http://www.kristytroyerphotography.com/blog/2014/8/how-much-how-do-you-order.

I will set up two limited time ordering sessions for CASH SALES ONLY on Sunday & Monday. I will place and drop ship print orders directly from my professional lab to you. Shipping and handling charges will be assessed and prices will be identical to those if you ordered online, I’m just placing the orders for you. Basic print prices are $3 for each 4x6, $6.50 for each 5x7, $11.50 for each 8x10 and $40 for each 16x20. Shipping and handling fees will be $5 for orders at or under $150 and $9 for orders over $150.

In addition to print orders, I’ll also  be taking orders  for “digital packages”  with  print releases. Digital files will be available for you to download via the internet or if you wish to bring a usb flash drive to the ordering session will be downloaded to that flash drive. Digital packages will be $55 for 5 files or less, $100 for up to 10 files and $200 for up to 20 files. Digital packages can be combined by siblings only. No shipping and handling fees will apply to digital packages. A print release will also be supplied for all files giving you the ability to print sizes and quantities you wish*.

The ordering sessions will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday. I will have access to view photos to choose from. You can also pick your photos ahead of the ordering session by checking online. Each image will have an image number below it. Just make note of the image number(s), species and breed, to place on your order form. Forms downloaded here and I will also have forms on hand.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
