Adair, Locust Grove have big games this weekWeek 3 of High School Football playoffs is this Friday. Two Mayes County teams are practicing for Thanksgiving to prepare for big games.
Locust Grove vs OKC Douglass at OKC Douglass, 900 N. Martin Luther King Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73117. Locust Grove Pirates are Number 1 in the state with an undefeated record while OKC Douglass is 10 and 2. Normally, with the ranking Locust would host this game. However, OKC Douglass upset Lone Grove last week and have had less playoff home field games thus causing the Pirates to travel to their home field turf. Kickoff is at 7:30. A win will put the undefeated Pirates against the winner of Heritage Hall vs Beggs next week.
Adair faces Number 1 Davis Friday in Adair with a 7 p.m. kickoff. This is the third straight matchup of the Warriors vs the Wolves. Davis beat Adair the last two matchups by 1 point each. Both teams are undefeated this season. This will be Adair's second time to host the Wolves. A win will put the Warriors against the winner of Hennessey vs Hartshorne next week.
I do my best to keep up with a score by score via twitter @ktroyerphoto while taking action photos at Adair. I will also be watching for scores of possible Mayes County team’s opponents for next week. Don’t forget you can purchase photos of your favorite football players. All the photos taken from 2014 are found on my webpage. There’s a blog with some helpful info on how to purchase.
