Nine weeks of football is wrapping up this week! Playoffs abound.

   I’m not as good as figuring my way through football playoffs as I am with other sports but I’m going to try.

   Adair Warriors are class 2A District 7 Champions with an undefeated record.  As of last week’s games Salina Wildcats are 4th place in the same district.

   Next week in round one of post season play Adair will play the 4^th place of District 8, which should be decided tonight (Commerce (2-7 / 2-3 in District play) or Chelsea (2-7 / 1-4 in District play)). Adair will host next week’s games. Salina needs a win tonight to capture a game next week. Salina would play the 1^st place team in District 8, Nowata (9-0 / 5-0 District play) at Nowata.

   Locust Grove Pirates are Class 3A District 7 Champions with an undefeated record and will also host a game next week for the first week in post season playoffs.

   They will play 4^th place in District 8. The competition in this district is tight. As of last week, here are the standings.

   Tonight’s games will decide who the Pirates opponent will be. Idabel plays at Heavener and Spiro hosts Valliant.

   I do my best to keep up with a score by score via twitter @ktroyerphoto and will also be watching for scores of possible Mayes County team’s opponents for next week.
