WOW! That's all I could say for a while yesterday. I've said before Chouteau playes with heart. They played their hearts out yesterday, never giving up.

Chouteau was faced with the #2 team in the State yesterday, a team that was undefeated. In fact the Ketchum Warrior team stats showed they typically won by a large margin with the exception of squeaking past the #1 OKC Northeast in Area.

The first half the game left the boys trailing by as much as 9 points. By half they had narrowed the lead to 4, but they started a new game the second half.

Chouteau shot ahead of the Warriors late in the game. The Warriors reclaimed the lead and held a four point deficit with under 2 minutes of play left. Chouteau got with in 1 point and under a minute to play, then forced a jump ball turnover. Jason Couch hit when he needed to, with 20 seconds on the clock to jump into the lead.

For the final two minutes of the game I was on my feet, and was cheering more for the boys than taking the action shots I'm normally capturing.

The Warriors missed the bucket after Chouteau's lead and fouled Jason Couch. The few seconds left to tick off wasn't enough for Ketchum and their half court hurl missed.

Chouteau plays #5 Latta tonight at 6 p.m. at Oklahoma City University for the State Semi Finals.

Adair had no trouble tackling Tahlequah Sequoyah State Opening game 39-61.

The undefeated #4 Lady Warriors take on Sulphur, the #1 team and also undefeated at 7:30 tonight at the State Fairgrounds Arena.
